Selfless Dravid

During India Vs South Africa Test series, Dravid was asked about his retirement.

Robin:- Dravid, tell me... how u decided to take retirement from Test Cricket.. You were highest run-scorer in 2011... Your fitness level was also good..!

#Dravid laughed a bit & said Thank You!

Later he added, "In 2011, we went to England...we hadn't good series but i got FEW runs (even that series was called as England Vs Dravid, but still he said i got few runs!).

After that.. Australia tour was six months away... As a senior batsman...it was my responsibility to lead the Indian batting... didn't get much runs there, I was out of form on that tour, but i didn't make any decision at the end of last Test there"

After that tour i took few weeks to take emotional decision about my retirement.. I knew someday i have to take it... There are new generation batsman with alot of talent like #Pujara, #Kohli, #Rohit Sharma, #Raina.

Before this South Africa tour..India had to play 10 tests at home... & I wanted these player to play in home conditions before playing in overseas conditions here in South Africa, so that they wont face much problem!
